What is it?

Show Stats is for any organisations that have ticketed events, whether they have direct access to the box office system or not.

It provides audience reports by show; individual performance, run, or tour. To use it you simply login and use ‘Find Production’ to identify shows for reporting. Choose from all of the performances available in Audience Finder, the national data tool, at any venue.

For National Portfolio Organisations, it provides additional benefits in meeting Arts Council England’s funding conditions and reporting requirements.

How does Show Stats work?

There are two levels to Show Stats, in the first instance you can view a list of your touring productions and report on your overall audience for free. There is a small charge for the next level of access, which allows you to report on these productions or performances individually, and custom group these in whatever way you’d like.

Free Access

  1. Find Productions

After login, you can search by financial year and venue to create a list of your productions, and request access from the venue.

  2. Verification Process

The venue at which that production data is held can review requests and approve access for the named users.

Please note that although we do our best to only grant access to the tool to trusted organisations, it is the venue’s responsibility to verify whether they wish to give the particular user access to the performances requested.

  3. FREE Annual Summary Report

Touring companies and venues with touring performances can create a report once a year that combines audience data from all your approved productions from the last full financial year, to give you an overview of your audiences for that period. Among other things this can be used for reporting on your audiences to ACE and other funders.

Enhanced Access

By activating approved productions, touring companies or venues are able to see production and performance level reporting.

  1. Activate Productions

You can choose to activate production from your list of approved productions, which can be activated in one click. This is when the cost of that performance or production is added to your running bill total.

  2. Production & Performance Reporting

  3. In the reporting section the you can now access a list of any activated productions and run a report on either the whole production or any individual performance.

In this section you will also still be able to access the free Annual Summary Report and, for venues, any reports generated by other users using your data.

  4. Custom Grouping

You can also use this tool to create any bespoke groupings of performances or events, e.g. according to the time of show, type of repertoire or artists performing. Note only activated productions can be used to create groups.

Costs for Enhanced Access

There is a one off yearly fee of £100 to gain Enhanced Access which is invoiced the first time you activate a production.

This allows you to look at up to 10,000 tickets sold via your reports
After this charges are 1p per ticket issued. Example:
If you activate productions based on 10,000 tickets issued, this will cost you £100.

You will receive a notification to confirm that you want to proceed with any action that incurs a cost.

Billing

You will be billed for the first £100 to gain Enhanced Access.

Any costs incurred after this on reports run will be billed 12 months after you signed up to Show Stats

If you are a National Portfolio Organisation
