What is it?

Used by over 500 companies and venues in the UK, Show Stats is the leading audience insight tool, that allows touring companies and venue organisations to see their audience data across a tour or on a production-by-production basis.

Sign Up Here to start using Show Stats.

Getting started using Show Stats

Show Stats is quick and easy to use for both touring company and organisation. You need to only follow two simple steps to request and report on your productions.

    Step One: Find Productions

In the Find Productions section, you can find and request productions from contributing venue organisations or your own venue if you do not tour.

    • Click the 'Create New' button.

    • Fill in the fields provided with the appropriate Financial Year and Organisation Name.

    • Search or use the drop down list to find your productions.

Please note: Only matured performances are extracted to and available within Audience Finder and Show Stats.

    • Finally, click ‘Confirm’ and your request will be sent to the venue organisation to approve.

    • Once the venue organisations have granted you access to their data, your productions will be marked as ‘Approved’.

Now you can create your free Annual Summary in the Find Productions section.

    Step Two: Your Reports

The Reporting section enables you to run reports for individual productions, groups of productions and the Annual Summary.

    • To create reports you just need to activate approved productions from the Find Productions section (see Step One).

Please note: Activating productions comes at a small cost. For more information, see the Pricing section below.

    • And that’s it! You will now be able to see all your reports and analyse your show metrics. These reports are saved in your Show Stats account and you can run them again.

Note for Venues:

To find and approve productions requested by Touring organisations, go to the ‘My Account’ section of Show Stats and click on ‘Manage Requests’. If you need help, see our support section.

Free Annual Summary

You can create a FREE Annual Summary once a year.

It gives you a general overview of a tour by combining all the audience data from all approved productions within the last full financial year. The free Annual Summary can be used for reporting to the Arts Council England and other funders.

Custom Grouping

Custom Grouping enables you to create bespoke groupings of your activated productions according to your needs.

For example, you might want to analyse your shows by grouping them by time of show such as all your matinee performances to see what trends there are.

After you have grouped your productions, you can run your reports in the Reporting section of the tool.

After your first activation of a production you will receive a charge of £100 +VAT.

This is a one-off yearly charge which allows you to report on individual performances in Show Stats. You can use this as “credit” to activate further performances to report on – up until the combined number of tickets for your activated performances reaches a total of 10,000 tickets – after which you will be charged at 1p per ticket. Then depending on how regularly you use Show Stats, we will invoice you on a quarterly basis. If your use is minimal, you will be contacted again a year after your first report activation with any outstanding charges.

At the end of each year using Show Stats we will provide you with a detailed breakdown of your yearly use.

We are always here to help you use Show Stats.

If you have any questions or if you would like to receive free training on the tool, please contact our Support Team at audiencefinder@theaudienceagency.org or 0207 260 2505.
